Peechi Dam is a Concrete Gravity Dam, one of the oldest dams in Kerala, situated 22 km outside Thrissur city. Built across the Manali River, a tributary of Karuvannur, the main aim behind building the dam was to supply water for irrigation, reaching out to the paddy fields and drinking purposes.
