Vattaparai Waterfalls is located near the Pazhayar River in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. This waterfall is located at an elevation of 40 metres. There is a small Kali temple next to the waterfalls with a serene and underdeveloped area and a small tea stall. This is the best place to sit and relax with a view of the water rushing through the mountain streams, pebbles and ferns. This waterfall is entirely surrounded by forest on all sides, which is also an active animal corridor. Vattakottai Fort is a popular tourist destination in Kanyakumari. It is a seaside food that was built in the 18th century during the reign of the Travancore kingdom. This place was constructed for the purpose of coastal difference and it was the last seaside fort built by the kingdom. This fort is famous for its amazing architecture and historical importance. The view of the vast and serene ocean on one side of the fold is absolutely worth visiting for. There is also a small pond in the Fort to sit and relax for some time.

3. Kanyakumari Beach

Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located on a small island off Kanyakumari on two hill rocks. This place gives a picture-perfect view of the Indian Ocean, where the two rocks project out of the Lakshadweep Sea. This was built in 1970 on the island of Vavathurai, where Vivekananda attained enlightenment. The Shripada Mandapam has a study hall and a museum to explore Vivekananda’s life and works. There is also a Dhayana mandapam beside the memorial, which is a meditation hall for the visitors to meditate. The architecture followed here is incorporated and various temples from all over India.

5. Thanumalayan Temple

Thanumalayan Temple, located in Suchindram, is a sacred Hindu shrine that is dedicated to Brahma Vishnu and Shiva, known as Trimurthis. The inscriptions found in the temple date back to the 9th century, but it was renovated in the 17th century. The beauty of the temple is absolutely amazing to look at because of its great architecture. The four musical pillars that are carved out of a single stone in the temple in the alankara mandapam are the major highlights of this temple. The musical pillars emit a variety of musical notes when they are struck with a thumb, which is a very interesting factor.

During the monsoon, the entire area is very wet and not recommended for trekking. During the summer season, it is extremely hot where many people do not prefer to visit this place during that time.
