Vasundhara Waterfalls, located near Badrinath, Uttarakhand, is a beautiful place to visit that is at a height of 400 feet. This waterfall got its name from Lord Vishnu’s Vasudeva, which means the path of rivers, so this waterfall is known as the path of Lord Vishnu. The water of these falls flows into the river Alaknanda that flows towards the Badrinath Temple. The Satopanth glacier is situated near the bottom of the Vasundhara waterfalls.

It is one of the 108 Divya Deshams that is predicted to be Lord Vishnu, and it is also considered to be a holy shrine for Vaishnavas. This temple is open only for 6 months every year due to extreme weather conditions located in the Himalayan regions. According to a legend, Lord Vishnu sat in this place for meditation and was unaware of the cold weather. Lakshmi Devi came to protect him and formed a Badri tree for it.

2. Bheem Pul

Bheem Pul is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Badrinath and is located near Mana village. It is only 3 km away from the Badrinath Temple. It is believed that Bhima was one of the Pandava brothers who made this natural bridge for his wife, Draupadi. When the Pandavas started their journey to heaven called Swargarohini, Draupadi was unable to cross the Saraswati river. He then lifted a huge rock and placed it between them. This bridge is also located on the opposite side of Vyasa Guha in Mana village and offers a beautiful view of the valley.

3. Saraswati River

Saraswati River is one of the most ancient rivers that is first mentioned in the Rig Veda and later in many Vedic texts. This river also played a major role in the Vedic religion. This river is described as a great and holy river in North Western India. It is also believed that the Saraswati River is the heavenly river, which is seen as a road to immortality and heavenly afterlife. A stone bridge named Bheem Pull also lies across the Saraswati River that passes towards Vasundhara Falls.

Brahma Kapal is a sacred heart that is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River near the Badrinath Temple. The Brahma Kapal is a plant from which the Hindus give great importance as they perform rituals and pay homage to the departed souls. They also offer shraddha to their departed ones in this place. It is believed that in this place if a dead person’s rituals and Shraddha Karma are done there, they will be freed from the cycle of birth and death. It is also believed that Lord Brahma exists here.

5. Vyas Guha

Vyas Guha, located in Badrinath, Uttarakhand, is known to be the place where the sage Vyas composed the Mahabharata with the help of Lord Ganesha. Along with Mahabharat, he also composed 18 Puranas, Brahma sutras and four Vedas. There is also a statue of Maharshi Vyas installed in this temple to worship by the pilgrims. A unique feature of this temple is that the roofs resemble the pages from the collection of his holy scripts.
