Ras Al Khaimah Airport in the UAE is an international airport that has two passenger buildings with cargo aircraft maintenance and various aviation training facilities. This airport was inaugurated in 1976 and also started operating as a national airline in 2007. In 2014 it started its commercial flights to different destinations like Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which became a hub for Air Arabia over a period of 10 years. Ras Al Khaimah Museum, also known as the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah, was the residence of the former ruler until the 1960s. Shimal is a small hamlet known for its great historic significance and also has a site of pre-Islamic tombs. This place is located in the northern part of Ras Al Khaimah, which is famous for its great archaeological importance and is home to 100s of pre-Islamic tombs. The records in historical findings found in this area date back to 2000 to 1300 BC, with several items found, like pottery stone vessels, copper vessels, weapons, beads and many more. The greatest discovery in this area is the finding of a huge circular tomb from the Umm Al-Nar period.

Dhayah Fort is an ancient building that was established in the early 19th century at a strategic position as a defensive military tower. This fort is located in Ras Al Khaimah. This fort is made out of mud and brick, which also served as a site for the last battle between the local tribes of the area and the British soldiers in 1819. This building is located in the northern part of the city, which is well known for its panoramic view of the surroundings from the top of the fort.
