Svalbard Museum is located in the largest town of the Svalbard Islands. This museum is situated in Longyearbyen. This museum also displays various artefacts from the exhibits of local plants and animals and also the history of Svalbard. This museum is situated in the University Centre in the Svalbard building. This museum also exhibits various factors that support human activity and also shows the close relationship between nature and the human cultural history on the Svalbard Islands. Life in Light and Eyes is the main part of the museum, which describes the history of the archipelago starting from the first whalers to the present development of tourism, mining and research.

2. Svalbard Church

Svalbard Church, which is located in the Svalbard municipality in Norway, is a parish church of the Church of Norway. This church is situated in the village of Longyearbyen. The architecture of the church is simple yet beautiful to look at, with its amazing landscapes all around with snow-covered mountains. This is a red wooden church that was built in a rectangular design in 1958. This church is also known to be the northernmost charge and also the first one to be built in Longyearbyen. 3. Pyramiden

Pyramiden, which is a former mining community, is an abandoned Soviet coal mining settlement located on the Svalbard Islands. This place has now become a tourist destination to explore the largely abandoned infrastructure and buildings left behind after it was closed in 1998. The Pyramiden area can be accessed by a boat or snowmobile from Longyearbyen. Most of the buildings in this place are now logged and require permission to go in and explore the buildings. The purpose of this museum is to preserve the history and importance of the North Pole expeditions that have happened in the Arctic. This museum is divided into two floors where the first floor has film footage of the original expedition pictures, newspapers, plain model ships, and many other related artefacts. 5. Svalbard Bryggeri

Svalbard Bryggeri, located in Svalbard in Longyearbyen, is a microbrewery that is also known to be the northernmost commercial brewery in the world. The commercial production of alcoholic beverages was provided until 2015 after permission was changed, and then an Italian supplier of equipment delivered and installed them. This brewery has 16% of water that is used for brewing that is thawed ice from 2000 years old found in Bogerbreen glacier. These beverages are later distributed throughout mainland Norway. This brewery is an interesting thing to do to understand how the beverages are made in this place, and also the brewery offers beer-tasting activities for the visitors.

6. Alkefjellet

Alkefjellet is a cliff that is located in Lomfjordhalvoya, on the Svalbard Islands. This is a 7 km long and steep cliff with hundreds and thousands of Brunnich’s guillemots. This is a bird cliff that is facing towards Hinlopen Strait. This cliff is a nesting location for more than 60,000 breeding pairs that is located 100 m high. This place is also famous for its stunning views of nature. This cliff is surrounded by various small glaciers that also sometimes melt the water and become beautiful waterfalls.

7. Spitsbergen National Park

Spitsbergen National Park is located on the Norwegian Arctic Archipelago of the Svalbard Islands. This national park has various warm springs and remains of the volcanoes. The hot springs at this park are known to be the northernmost documented terrestrial hot springs on the earth, which were first documented in the late 1800s. This park also has remains of whaling stations and graves from the 17th century of the remains of several Arctic expeditions. This park also has a variety of seabirds, reindeer, polar bears, Arctic foxes, and walruses found. This national park covers the entire island of Prins Karls Forland and also the sea around it. It is located between Reuschhalvoya and Hoelhalvoya. This fjord is one of the most beautiful and most photographed places in the entire area on the Svalbard Islands.
