Valayanad Temple was built in the 14th century and is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy or Goddess Parvathy. It has a very unique architecture and is different from the other Devi temples in the region. The main shrine faces North and there are four majestic gopurama facing each direction. The temple carvings of the seven mother Goddesses in the southern walls. The major attraction of the temple is the Sreechakra, which is believed to be the permanent residence place of the Goddess. There are also idols of Shiva, Lord Ayyappa, Thevaara Bhagavathi, and Vigneswara.
