One of the oldest national parks in Assam is Orang national park and tiger reserve, spread to the area of 78.80 square kilometres. It is vividly known as “ Mini Kaziranga ” of Assam since the two parks have a similar landscape made up of marshes, streams and grasslands and are inhabited by the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. The special wildlife reserves of this park includes Royal Bengal tigers, Indian elephants, Himalayan black bears, Hoolock gibbons, Capped langurs, Indian leopards, porcupines and barking deers.
