Our Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrived in Cochin and were transferred to Munnar and en route visited Athirapally Waterfalls. Witnessed lush green meadows and the waterfall in its full glory. The misty air and verdant setting offered a spectacular welcome to Kerala.
Day 2: Travelled to Munnar, a hill station known for its rolling tea plantations and refreshing climate. Spent the day exploring the peaceful landscapes such as Mattupetty Lake & Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Museum and Blossom Park.
Day 3: Transferred to Alleppey, boarded our traditional houseboat and cruised through the calm and serene backwaters. Watched local village life float by and enjoyed all authentic Kerala meals on board.
Day 4: Headed to Varkala and took in the breathtaking views from the cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea. Enjoyed a peaceful walk along the cliffside with my wife, followed by a beautiful sunset at Varkala Beach.
Day 5: Spent the day at Kovalam’s Lighthouse Beach, relaxing by the sea and enjoying the iconic lighthouse view. The calm waves and beachside charm made it an ideal spot to unwind.
Day 6: Visited the famous Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Also, explored the scenic Poovar mangroves on a peaceful boat ride. Lastly, departed from Trivandrum for our journey back home.
Our Travel Highlight

Kerala gave us more than just captivating views; it unfolded like a living postcard at every step. From the moment we heard the roar of the cascading Athirapally Waterfall, we knew it would have an everlasting impact on our hearts. Cruising through the tranquil backwaters gave us a chance to connect and find peace in each other’s company. From witnessing the sun dip below Varkala’s majestic cliffs to walking hand-in-hand through Munnar’s lush tea plantations, every moment was infused with romance and endless memories. Winding through the enchanting mangroves of Poovar on a serene boat ride was the perfect way to close our dreamy fairytale.

One of the most mystical moments for us was our overnight stay on the houseboat in Alleppey. Drifting past local villages, watching the most magical sunset and the delicious dishes served onboard brought me and my wife even closer.
With so many surprising chapters unveiling everyday, choosing one feels so unfair. From standing at Varkala cliff and witnessing some of the most stunning panoramic views to admiring the breathtaking architecture of Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Kerala left us with some of the most cherished memories.

- Destinations in Kerala can be far apart, so be prepared for longer drives. Keep some snacks, water and music handy for these long journeys.
