Suicide Point is a viewpoint that gets its name due to the steep vertical drop with a deep gorge below. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kalpa, located around 3 km from the main town, where you will find the “I Love Kinnaur ” board to take pictures. Despite the morbid name of the place, the views and the photographs that you get to snap here are truly one of a kind. The panoramic views of the Kinnaur Kailash range from this point are truly enthralling, especially during sunrise and sunset.

2. Kinnaur Kailash

Among the top Kalpa tourist places is Kinnaur Kailash, which is a sacred mountain for both Hindus and Buddhists. The peak stands tall at an elevation of 6,050 meters and is considered the winter abode of Lord Shiva. The trek to Kinnaur Kailash is challenging and takes you through diverse terrains, including dense forests, meadows, and rocky paths. It is located in a remote location overlooking the views of the flowing Sutlej River and the surrounding mountains. 6. Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery

More commonly known as the Kalpa Monastery, Hu-Bu-Lan-Kar Monastery is one of the most popular tourist places in Kalpa. It is one of the oldest monasteries in the region, dating back to the 11th century. Inside the monastery lies an extensive centre that promotes Buddhist learning and spirituality. You can see the beautiful architecture of the monastery inside, featuring ancient murals, thangkas, and sculptures, which reflect the rich culture of Tibetan Buddhism. 7. Sapni Fort

Located near Kalpa, Sapni Fort is another one of the popular and historical sightseeing spots that you must add to your itinerary. Built in the traditional Kinnauri style, the fort features intricate wood carvings and a seven-story tower that enables you to witness the views of the surrounding landscapes too. The fort was built by Raja Padam Singh of Rampur by joining two buildings together. Among the two, the main part of the fort is fairly old and looks quite rundown as well. In the fifth storey lies a Kali temple that many devotees visit too.

8. Kamru Fort

9. Batseri Village
