Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan was first established as a botanical garden but from 1973, it has been converted into a biological zoo. There are more than 800 animals residing in the park with diverse species of tigers, lions, elephants, black bucks, jackals, spotted deer, crocodiles, alligators, hill myna, giraffes and peacocks. The park has a snake house which has 32 snakes in total.

Golghar is a tourist spot located near Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The place has a structure of a beehive and was designed by John Garstin who was a part of the Bengal Army in the East India Company.
