Inderkilla National Park, established in 2010, lies in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. It is known for bird species, medicinal plants, endangered plants and animals. The all-weather road to Hampta Valley, near Manali, is linked with this park. Spreading its area in the buffer zone, it comprises several villages. Khirganga National Park was established in 2010. It is located in Kullu and spreads over 710 sq km. Nestled at an altitude of 2,000 metres, it involves subtropical forests, coniferous forests, and alpine meadows. The park is prone to landslides and earthquakes. It serves as a watershed for the Parvati River. Key species include Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, tahr, musk deer, and yellow-throated marten. It is named after Khirganga Village and is famous for its hot springs with healing properties, tall grassy areas, alpine forests, and snowy mountain tops.

4. Simbalbara National Park

The Simbalbara National Park is in the Sirmaur District of Himachal Pradesh. It is around 27,000 hectares and part of the outer Shivaliks of the Great Himalayas Range. The topographical varieties within the park are a span of mixed ecosystems—from downsloping rolling hills up to the steep slopes. The park is a habitation for mammals that include the Indian leopard, sambar deer, barking deer, and Himalayan goral, among others, and birds such as the Himalayan monal, Kalij pheasant, Indian peafowl, woodpeckers, warblers, reptiles, and amphibians.
