6. Muay Thai At The Bangla Boxing Stadium

Situated at Patong Beach, the Bangla Boxing stadium is a well known arena for the Thai Martial Arts or Muay Thai. The stadium is two-storey, with the first-floor housing as many as four beer bars, while the second floor is where the fights take place. The stadium hosts several titles and championships. The matches open with young fighters between the ages of 12 and 14 competing against each other and end with an international match featuring champions of global renown. The matches start with a ritualistic dance “Wai kru ram Muay” to pay homage to the fighters and coaches.
