1. Baba Baidynath

 Baba Baidyanath Mandir, also known as Bada Dham, is one of the best Deoghar temples.

The speciality of this temple is that it is the only temple in the city where both Shiva and Shakti temples are situated together, along with Shaktipeeth. It is a common belief that Mata Sati’s heart fell here while Shiva carried her body to roam around the world. Baba Dham is one of the spiritual places that possesses high significance in Hindu mythology, making it one of the famous temples in Deoghar. Every day in the morning and evening, a long queue stands outside the temple and waits for its turn to have a look at the Shiv Shakti Temple. During Shravan month, devotees take the ‘Kawad Yatra’ to reach this place.

2. Baba Basukinath Dham

Baba Basukinath Dham attracts a lot of devotees during the Shravan and Mahashivratri.

The temple of Baba Basukinath is located near the temple of Baba Baidynath. You can see crowds of people during the months of Shravan and Mahashivratri. People mostly come to pray to Lord Shiva here. It is among the most popular temples in Deoghar devoted to Lord Shiva. Here, the main temple is surrounded by many small temples, so you can do lots of puja here. Transportation facilities are good; so you can reach here by train, road, or flight.
Timings: 4 AM – 4 PM and 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

3. Naulakha Mandir

One of the best Deoghar temples, the Naulakha Mandir is devoted to Radha and Krishna.

Devoted to God Krishna and Goddess Radha, this holy site is, probably, the best temple in Deoghar. Here you can find beautiful idols of Radha and Krishna, which are 146 feet in height. Other idols of Gopal and Balananda Brahmachari are two saints situated here. At the entrance of the temple, there is a statue of Rani Charushila, who constructed this famous temple in Deoghar. You can reach here by road, train, and by flight. It is situated close to Baba Baidynath temple, at a distance of just 1.5 kilometres.

4. Baiju

Baiju, dedicated to God Neelkanth, is one of the popular sacred sites in the region.

Baiju is one of the popular temples in Deoghar. Devoted to God Neelkanth, this temple holds equal significance to the temple of Baba Baidynath. Both temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva, and every day people come here to pay their respect and show their faith and belief in Bhole Baba. Both the temples are located adjacent to each other. So, if you are planning to visit Baba Baidyanath, this temple is also next for you to offer your puja to Lord Neelkanth.

5. Maa Shitala Temple

Maa Shitala Mandir is one of the significant Deoghar temples attracting a great footfall.

This Deoghar temple is devoted to Mata Shitala. Every day devotees come to worship Mata here. Women come in greater numbers than men in this temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Deoghar that nobody knows about its year of establishment. Situated in the busy market of Deohar, it is only 50 metres away from the Baiju Temple. In the month of Chaitra, various pujas are organised here, and big crowds come here to pay their faith and believe in Mata Shitala.

6. Harihar Jori

Harihar Jori Mandir comprises two shrines dedicated to both Lord Shiva and Vishnu.

This place is also known as Harihar Jori. As it is believed that both Lord Shiva and Vishnu met here, this is why this place is named after both, Hari refers to Vishnu and Har refers to Shiva. A temple of Shiva is built here by Shri Achintan Das. A water tank is also present here, which holds great significance in Hindu mythology. This tank is known as the ‘Harini Tank’. Located in the north region of the city, this temple is only 5 kilometres away from Baba Baidyanath Temple.

7. Dev Sangha Ashram

 Dev Sangha Ashram has a nav durga mandir dedicated to nine avatars of Goddess Durga.

Here, a famous nav durga mandir is situated and worshipped by devotees in large numbers at Dev Sangha Ashram. In this temple, all nine Devi avatars of Durga are worshipped with great devotion. It is a very calm and peaceful place to visit. One can sit here and do meditation without any disturbance. This ashram is just 2–3 kilometres away from Deoghar city. Satsangs are always held here; you can come and hear the voices of the priest and it feels like a homely place to visitors.

8. Pagla Baba Ashram

Pagla Baba Ashram has a mandir which is one of the best Deoghar temples in the region.

This ashram encompasses a temple devoted to Lord Krishna and Radha Rani. Here, the idol of Krishna and Radha weighs about six quintals made from eight metals. During Janmashtami, a mela is held by the people of the ashram, and people from different regions of India come to visit this place. Every day, kirtan, aarti, and bhajan are organised by the people who participate with great enthusiasm and devotion. Located 10 kilometres away from the centre of the city, this is one of the best temples in Deoghar.
