Pattaya is a popular destination in Thailand and is often crowded with tourists from all over the world. The airport in Pattaya, U-Tapao Rayong Pattaya International Airport, serves as a gateway to the city for both international and domestic flights. To accommodate the flourishing tourism and take the load off of Bangkok Airport, this airport was situated by expanding what was initially a military base. The Airport in Pattaya is in Ban Chang of Rayong Province in Thailand, 45 minutes away from Pattaya. It serves public and civil-military flights with additional services such as several ground transportation options, restaurants, cyber cafes, pharmacies, retail outlets, etc. The airport is 140 km away from Bangkok in the southeast direction. It has flights connecting to Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Macau, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

How To Reach Airport In Pattaya

By Bus: Regular buses operate three times a day from Pattaya to the Airport. Buses start from the CK Residence at 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to reach the Airport. The return trips from the airport into the city are at 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. Suvarnabhumi Burapha Bus Company operates these buses and charges about 200 THB per trip.
By Cab: There are private cab, and taxi services from Pattaya city to the airport. Taxis charge a fixed price of 1000 THB however cab charges might vary based on the type of vehicle.

1. Sanctuary Of Truth

The Sanctuary of Truth is the largest wooden infrastructure in all of Thailand that is solely constructed of wood in the Thai carpenter style of construction. It is in Rachavet Peak of Na Klua Road of North Pattaya by the seashore. The wooden construction is strong enough to withstand strong winds gusting along the seashore. The temple is not just magnificent for its woodwork but for its entire infrastructure. The four wings of the temple take inspiration from Thai, Chinese, Indian and Khmer art forms.

2. Wat Phra Yai

Wat Phra Yai or the Big Buddha Temple, is one of the most loved sites in Pattaya. The Buddha Image was installed at a height of 300 feet in 1977, making it known as the Big Buddha Hill. Apart from being one of the major tourist spots, it also holds great religious value for the locals. People often visit this place for prayers during good times.
