The only commercial airport in Malta, it is the hub of global connectivity. It serves more than 30 airlines and links Malta to major European cities like London, Rome and Paris in addition to some regional points in North Africa and the Middle East. Located on the small island of Comino, between Malta and Gozo, Comino Heliport operates all year round. It acts mainly for helicopter transfers and services between the island of Malta or Gozo to Comino. It is most well-known as the point of entry for the Blue Lagoon, one of the most visited tourist attractions on the island. The heliport caters to various helicopter operators and doesn’t offer commercial flights but is a transport hub for wealthy travellers and day trippers flocking to the island. Comino Heliport has many helicopter tours and charters that show off the archipelago and the Mediterranean Sea.

4. Saint Luke’s Hospital Helipad

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Pietà, Malta, contains a heliport that has played an important role in the country’s medical evacuation efforts. Historically, this helipad functioned as the major landing place for air ambulances, particularly when the Mater Dei Hospital helipad was closed for construction or safety reasons. The heliport at Saint Luke’s was vital for transporting severely ill patients from Gozo and other areas.
