Amboseli National Park lies in Kajiado County, southern Kenya, close to the Tanzanian border. The park entrance is about 200 kilometres southeast of Nairobi and is kept on the Nairobi-Arusha Road. The park covers 392 square kilometres, featuring grasslands, acacia woodlands and marshy swamps. Aside from the small town of Namanga is the Masimba market area.
