Anandpur Fort, one of the five Qilas built by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, was constructed to strengthen the Sikh military power and protect the city of Anandpur Sahib from invaders. This fort is located in the heart of Anandpur Sahib and was a critical defence point during numerous battles. Although exact dates aren’t known, it is believed that the fort was constructed in 1689 by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
