Baneshwar Temple Nasrapur, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is an ancient shrine believed to have been constructed in the 17th century by Balaji Baji Rao, also known as Nana Saheb Peshwa, who was the Maratha Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. The temple’s name is derived from “Ban”, which means forests, explaining the dense woodlands around it. On the bell, you will find a cross and the year 1683 etched on it.
