Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary, located in West Bengal, is an animal sanctuary that is known for its variety of animals. There are nearly 200 species of deer, rabbit and langurs. This wildlife sanctuary also has a children’s park, a small zoo and a tourist lodge for the forest department. This wildlife sanctuary began in 1964 when 14 cheetahs were released in the forest. This wildlife sanctuary was originally named Parmadaan in 1980 when it first opened. But later in 1995, it got its name, Bibhutibhushan, which was named after the name of a famous Bengali author.

The wildlife sanctuary is located in West Bengal and is a part of the North 24 Parganas district. This wildlife sanctuary is situated on the banks of the Ichamati River and covers an area of 0.68 km square. This wildlife sanctuary can be easily accessible from Bongaon. One must reach Bongaon to get into a Tolo to reach the sanctuary. This is the best place to take a walk amidst the beautiful nature, observing a variety of plants, birds and animals.

Bally Bridge, also known as Vivekananda Setu, is a bridge constructed over the Hooghly River in West Bengal. This bridge links the cities of Howrah in Bali and Kolkata in Dakshineshwar. This beach is a total of 880 m long. It is one of the four famous bridges linking Howrah and Kolkata. This bridge serves both roadways and railways. However due to heavy traffic and various natural calamities, this bridge has become weak, and hence the Nivedita Setu is constructed parallel to it.

2. Chakla Mandir

Chakla Mandir, or Chakla Dam, located in West Bengal, is a famous pilgrimage site that is dedicated to Baba Lokenath. The best time to visit the wildlife sanctuary is during the season of winter because during these months there are many bird species available in the forest, which are very beautiful to look at. It is advised to avoid visiting this place during the monsoon because the entire area might be flooded due to heavy rains. This Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is advised to visit this sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to spot various deer being fed by forest officials.
