Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary, located in West Bengal, is an animal sanctuary that is known for its variety of animals. There are nearly 200 species of deer, rabbit and langurs. This wildlife sanctuary also has a children’s park, a small zoo and a tourist lodge for the forest department. This wildlife sanctuary began in 1964 when 14 cheetahs were released in the forest. This wildlife sanctuary was originally named Parmadaan in 1980 when it first opened. But later in 1995, it got its name, Bibhutibhushan, which was named after the name of a famous Bengali author.
