2. Shri Chaturshrungi Devi Temple

More commonly known as the Chattushrungi Temple, this is another Devi temple in Pune that you can visit. The temple is located on top of a hill adjacent to Senapati Bapat Road. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Chaturshringi, a form of Goddess Durga. Coming to the temple’s location is an impressive 90 feet high and 125 feet wide, and reaching the main shrine requires climbing 100 steps. So, you do have to challenge yourself physically to offer your prayers to the Goddess. The temple complex also houses smaller shrines dedicated to other deities such as Goddess Yamai and Goddess Renuka. One of the best times to visit the temple is during Navratri.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jogeshwari, a powerful form of the Goddess Durga. Historical evidence suggests that the temple is 350 years old and has close associations with the Ganesh festival too. It is believed that the first Ganesh idol for the festival was established near the temple by Lokmanya Tilak. 4. Shree Bhavani Mata Temple

6. Ashtabhuja Durga Mandir

In Pulachi Wadi, Ashtabhuja Durga Mandir is another one of the oldest devi temples in Pune. As the name suggests, the idol of the Goddess in this temple has eight limbs, each carrying a significant element. The temple is located in Pune’s Shaniwar Peth, which was established by Moropant Tryambak Pinglay, Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. There aren’t a lot of details about the actual history of the temple but it is believed that the temple is at least a few hundred years old. The architecture of the temple is quite simple and reminiscent of the old-day Maratha architecture.

7. Tukai Devi Mandir

The temple’s origins depict that it was built 400 years ago. However, over time, the temple has undergone renovation and rebuilding. It is said that the temple was built in the 17th century by the Kalamkar family of the Mali caste after they inherited Baner. 8. Shitala Devi Temple

According to the historical data, the temple dates back to the 9th century and it is dedicated to Maa Shitala.
