2. Shankar’s International Doll Museum

Located in the Children’s Book Trust Building in Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, at a distance of just 10 km from the adventure park, this museum gives visitors an experience of a lifetime. It was established by K. Shankar Pillai, who was known for his political cartoons. The entrance is followed by a meandering staircase that leads you to a foyer. The museum is home to a vast collection of dolls, including idols of deities from different faiths. There are around 6500 exhibits on display, from 85 countries around the world.

3. Okhla Bird Sanctuary

At a distance of 9 km from the E-O-D Adventure Park, this sanctuary is a paradise for those enthusiastic about birds. To witness the presence of some rare species of migratory birds, you can come to this sanctuary October onwards. There are over 400 species of birds in this sanctuary and the count of migratory birds is somewhere around 100,000. The sanctuary’s significance lies in being home to the white rumped vulture, which has been labelled as ‘critically endangered.’ The Baikal Teal, Black-Bellied Tern, Grey-headed Fish Eagle and the Saurus Crane.

4. National Zoological Park

At a distance of just 9 km, this zoo spans across 176 acres of land. The zoo at present is home to a total of 1350 animals, who belong to species from around the world. Some of the major attractions at this zoo are the White Tiger, Asiatic Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, Golden Jackal, Jaguar, Nilgai, Hof Deer and the Himalayan Black bear. The zoo also ensures that conservation breeding for animals like the rhinoceros and the Bengal Tiger are done. It will take you around 3 hours to take a look at all the animals in this zoo.

5. Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple

This temple, in Mayur Vihar Phase I, is at a distance of just 2 km from the E-O-D Adventure Park. The temple bears the shrine of Lord Krishna’s Guruvayurappan avatar. The temple takes on an architectural style that is commonly found in temples in Kerala. Gopurams are found on the eastern and western sides of the temple precinct. The heart of the temple bears the sacred idols of Krishna and Bhagavati. There are also several smaller temples within the precinct, devoted to Shiva, Ayyappa and Ganapati. The temple has a very unique architecture and is revered by Hindu devotees.

It is best that you visit E-O-D Adventure Park anytime between the months of April and September. The park is closed on Diwali and Holi, but is open to visitors on all days of the year.
