Assam State Museum is one of the most famous museums in Guwahati. The Kamarupa Anusandhan Samiti (Assam Research Society) established the Museum in 1940. In 1953, the Assam State Government assumed charge over the Museum’s operations. There are 7 TV screens inside the museum; Monitor 1 shows a films Joymoti and Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Monitor 2 shows a film about the life of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Monitor 3 shows a film about Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Monitor 4 shows four-screen songs from award-winning Assamese films, and Monitors 5, 6, and 7 pay tribute to 75 deceased artists.

10. Assam Forest Museum
