Yunnan Garden is located in the far west of Singapore. This beautiful garden is inspired by the lush and traditional landscaped gardens of the Chinese. One can discover a list of things in the park that pay tribute to the culture, literature, and architecture. The boardwalks at Nanyang Lake will take you across a clear, transparent lake. The major attraction in this park is the 5.6 metres high waterfall that stands in the centre. An elevated part of the park gives a glimpse of the entire park, along with the mighty waterfall. There is also a scope for strolling down to explore the waterfall and the artificial wetlands closely.

2. Johor Strait Lighthouse

This enigmatic lighthouse is located at the tip of the Raffles Marina’s breakwater. This wonderful lighthouse is 12 metres tall and overlooks the Tuas Second Link Bridge. It lights up the paths of the yachts at night, navigating into and out of the marina. There is a Raffles Marina Club where one can indulge in a relaxing stroll along the promenade. 3. Boh Geh Uncle Canteen

This canteen in Singapore is a step back in time with ordinary makeshift premises. This place is a letdown for social media influencers as taking pictures or videos is not allowed. This place is a popular spot among the daily joggers, cyclists, and people working in this area. The place takes one back to the 1960s with rickety tables, mismatched stools and benches beneath an artificial tarp canopy. There are three food stalls in this canteen with a cai png shop, a Muslim food stall, and a drink stall run by Uncle Boh Geh himself. Boh Geh Uncle canteen is also known by the name of ‘Canteen 398’ owing to its location on street number 398.

This place is not very far from the popular Little Guilin at Bukit Batok Town Park. The park is abandoned and is a 10-minute walk from the Bukit Gombak MRT station. One needs to get dirty and messy to explore this place to the fullest. There are two poles beside the bus stop by the edge of the forest that mark its entrance. The man-made stone steps leading into the park are just the most beautiful creations. When one climbs up the hill, they can discover a well, a crumbling wooden boardwalk, and a pavilion, and if they climb up higher, they find an open hilltop.

The Seng Chew Quarry in Singapore is a popular place famous for its water, which has magical properties. It is located at Bukit Gombak and is a product of the mining heydays in Singapore. Though the place is not restricted, but has several parts that are underdeveloped, making the place dangerous. This hidden quarry is located behind a residential block of flats in the Bukit Gombak region of Singapore. Proper shoes should be worn with a firm grip to help in a steep climb. The former three-storied creative space was once home to artists and creative people, which was demolished and replaced by a more interesting and cooler place. Amidst a sea of grey buildings in an Industrial Area, this building stands tall with its Art Deco Style that is complete with a Gothic tower. The design looks a little familiar due to the same artist who designed the iconic Parkview Square in Bugis.
