Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary spans 341 sq. km and is bordered by Lake Gumsar, Hirpora hamlet, Rupri, Saransar, and the Pir Panjal pass. The eastern slopes are mild to moderately steep, whereas the northern and western slopes are quite steep, with numerous cliffs. The south and southeast slopes are also quite steep.
