It serves as a watershed for the Parvati River. Key species include Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, tahr, musk deer, and yellow-throated marten. It is named after Khirganga Village and is famous for its hot springs with healing properties, tall grassy areas, alpine forests, and snowy mountain tops.
