Kala Pathar Beach is one of Havelock Island’s beautiful beaches. The black rocks surrounding Kala Pathar Village give the beach its name and add beauty to the coastline. It is famous for white beach sand dotted with black rocks and turquoise water. Excellent place to relax and unwind on smooth sands. The Black Rocks add a natural and rustic charm to this beach. Kala Pathar beach is located at the tip of the southeastern coast of Havelock Island. It is at a distance of 6.5 KM from Havelock jetty, and 61 KM from the capital city Port Blair.

How To Reach Kala Pathar Beach

Upon arrival in Port Blair, tourists can choose between ferry services or a private cruise to reach Havelock Island. Both private and government ferries operate from Port Blair. Government ferries cost around ₹85-150 per person, and private ones cost ₹800 onwards. The whole trip takes less than 2 hours. After reaching Havelock Island, choose any one of these options:
Cab/Taxi: This beach is around 13 km from Havelock Jetty, and can be reached by a hired cab/taxi.
Rental Scooter: From Havelock Jetty, the tourists can also hire rental scooters to reach this beach.
Bus: Government and private buses ply from Rangat, Baratang Island, and Diglipur to this beach. This is the cheapest mode of transportation in Andaman with limited availability.
