By Road: Kalsubai can be easily accessed by Road from many cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nashik etc. In fact, for those interested in visiting the site, the nearest big town of Igatpuri is around 120 km away from Mumbai. Bari, the starting point of the trek, is just 30 minutes drive away from Igatpuri.
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Igatpuri which is about 10 k.m. from Bari, which is the base village of this fort. In Igatpuri, one must arrange for local transportation or a taxi to bring you to the trek’s starting point.
By Air: Various approaches are, however, recommended for climbing Kalsubai; it is in proximity to Nashik airport which is about 70 km away. From there you can get an auto rickshaw to hire a taxi or a bus to go straight to Igatpuri and then Bari.
