Our Travel Highlight

Bhutan, especially Paro, left us with memories we’ll never forget—from the fascinating traditions around the Fertility God to the breathtaking views at Dochula and the serene courtyards of the King’s palace. What stood out most was the country’s immaculate cleanliness, the warmth and simplicity of the locals, and the ever-present smiles that felt as comforting as the Smiling Buddha itself. It’s a place that truly leaves a lasting mark on your heart.

Most Memorable Moment

Man lifts woman by a riverbank with green hills and Bhutanese houses in background.

The most memorable moment was by the Paro River, where I felt like I fell in love with my wife all over again. Surrounded by the serene beauty on both sides of the river, it was a truly romantic experience, as we lost ourselves in nature’s embrace.

Travel Tips For Future Travellers

Traditional Bhutanese dzong with lush greenery and mountains in the background.

  • Food choices in Bhutan are quite limited, so it helps to keep your expectations realistic.
  • Online payment options aren’t widely available, so carrying enough cash is a must.
  • The weather can be unpredictable—rain is common—so pack and plan with that in mind.

Your Takeaway From Bhutan’s Trip

We’ve always believed in finding joy in every moment of travel, but what made this journey special was also experiencing the little challenges that reveal so much about local life. On our drive from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, we were caught in heavy rain, and I deeply admired our lady driver Tshirin, who navigated the difficult roads with such skill and confidence, bringing us safely to our destination. Meeting such inspiring people along the way and forming connections that turn into lasting memories is what we consider the true achievement of travel.

Our Experience With TripXL

A view of a loving couple enjoying their fun-filled trip to Bhutan with amazing backdrop.

I came across TripXL while searching for Bhutan packages on Google. Overall, the trip was well-organized and enjoyable. It would have been even better if entry tickets to sightseeing spots were included, but that was just a small hiccup. We truly enjoyed our travel experience with TripXL, and we’ll definitely consider taking another trip with them.
