This colossal waterfall is situated 3km from Boys Town on the road to Kottiyoor, just 10 km away. Other significant towns nearby are Kalpetta, 46 km away, and Sulthan Bathery, 54 km away.

By Road: The waterfall is well-connected by road, being located on the Mananthavady Road between Kottiyoor and Boys Town. You can take a bus or hire a taxi from Kannur or Wayanad to reach the falls. There is a frequent bus route from Kannur to Thalassery. The last stretch involves a short trek of about 2 km through the dense deciduous forests surrounding the waterfalls.
By Rail: The nearest railway station to the waterfall is in Kannur and Thalassery, approximately 70 km and 64 km from the falls, respectively.
By Air: The nearest airport to the waterfall is the Kannur International Airport, located approximately 52 kilometres away. You can hire a taxi or pre-booked cab from the airport.

A famous pilgrimage site located near the Palchuram Waterfalls is the Kottiyoor Siva Temple.
