By Air: Fly to Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and then take a domestic flight to Trincomalee. You can also opt for flights to Nilaveli Domestic Airport and travel from there, though flights are irregular here.
By Road: From Colombo, drive or take a bus to Trincomalee, which is approximately 270 km away. Night trains are also available, traversing across the eastern province.
By Sea: From Nilaveli Beach, hire a boat to reach Pigeon Island, a short 15-minute ride. This is the fastest route, with frequent rides to and fro.

Koneswaram Temple, also known as Thirukonamalai Konesar Temple, is a classical Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
