The sanctuary dates back to November 1999 and it is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Its characteristic trait is that the weed grows up to 10 feet in height.

6. Kondapalli Fort

The fort dates back to the 14th century when it was constructed by Prolaya Verma Reddy from the Reddi kingdom.
