3. Chinese Fishing Nets

The Chinese Nets are perhaps the most scenic Fort Kochi tourist places. These huge cantilevered nets, locally called ‘cheena vala’, are a unique method of catching fish. 4. Mattancherry Palace

Mattancherry Palace is one of the finest examples of Kerala’s architecture. Situated at about 12 km from Ernakulam, it was built around 1545 AD by the Portuguese as a present to King Veera of the Kochi dynasty.
