The Harvalem Waterfall is a beautiful rain-fed cascade of fast flowing water, presenting the beauty of Goa’s verdant landscape during the monsoon season in July. Located in southwestern Goa, it is also sometimes referred to as the Arvalem Waterfalls. The waterfall is adjacent to the village of Sanquelim and radiates a lot of serenity and tranquillity. The water gushes down from an altitude of 100 feet and presents a beautiful sight. The water forms a beautiful crystal clear Lake below, which adds to its scenic appeal. A designated stone-cut pathway from the adjacent Rudreshwar Temple will lead you to this Waterfall.

2. Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary

This wildlife sanctuary covers a vast area of 240 sq.km. You will find it on your way from Panaji to Belgaum. It is home to the steep slopes of the Western Ghats covered with dense forests and serves as the natural habitat for a number of animals. The Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary boats of 722 different species of flowering plants. Some of the animals that you can spot at this wildlife sanctuary are the Royal Bengal Tiger, Pangolin, Malabar Giant Squirrel, and more. It also has a number of birds like the Yellow Bulbul and Indian Black Woodpecker, making it one of the best tourist attractions in Goa in July.

3. Basilica Of Bom Jesus

The Basilica of Bom Jesus contains the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The church bears the altar of St. Ignatius of Loyola, designed in the baroque style of architecture. 4. Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in Canacona, South Goa, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places for Goa trip in July. This wildlife sanctuary is rich in flora and fauna. The sanctuary is known for its ecotourism complex which has interpretation centres, libraries, children’s park and an office for Forest Rangers. The wildlife sanctuary has both deciduous and evergreen trees, some of which are as high as 30m. The sanctuary’s unique treetop watchtower sets it apart from the rest. A number of animals like flying squirrels, pangolin, flying lizard, and white-bellied woodpecker can be seen in this sanctuary.

5. Margao Municipal Garden

Located in the heart of the city of Margao, the Margao Municipal Garden is among the must-visit tourist places in Goa in July. The main bus stop of Margao is very close to this garden. The garden is also known as the Aga Khan Park, being built on the land owned by Aga Khan. The statue of Dr. Miguel de Lyola Furtado occupies the centre of the garden. There is enough arrangement for sitting and also a separate children’s park. There are also a number of flowers in this garden.

6. Rudreshwar Temple

This temple in Bicholim, Goa is revered by Hindus all across the world. The Rudreshwar Temple bears the shrine of Lord Shiva and the Harvalem Waterfall is in very close proximity to the temple. The idol of the Rudreshwar avatar of Lord Shiva faces the famous waterfall. The temple is often crowded in the mornings, when devotees come to seek blessings from the deity. A lot of Hindus perform the final rites of their deceased family members at this temple. During Mahashivratri, the temple witnesses a huge influx of people.

7. Chapora Fort

Built by ancient ruler Adil Shah, the Chapora Fort gets its name from the Chapora River. Located in Bardez, Goa, the fort is known for being popular among visitors. It has been the site for the shooting of many Bollywood movies, like Dil Chahta Hai. You can get a panoramic view of the Chapora River up to Morjim. The higher slopes which outline the exterior walls of the fort from a natural barrier of defence. There are bastions and embrasures for cannons within the premises of the fort. 10. Goa Science Centre And Planetarium

The Goa Science Centre and Planetarium, dedicated to the purpose of info-tainment, lets you experience an amalgamation of information and entertainment. Located at a distance of 5km from Panaji, this attraction hosts science shows for children on a daily basis. There is an auditorium in the Science Centre with a capacity to host 140 people at once. There are both life-sized and miniature models that depict scientific theories. The purpose of this museum is to spread awareness about information and technology. The 3D shows and the planetary shows are two of the most popular screenings at this planetarium.
