10. Ravangla Rinchenpong

The Ngadakpa Lama founded Rinchenpong Monastery in 1730 in the town of Rinchenpong. It is Sikkim’s third oldest monastery, established with roughly 98 lamas. The monastery has a rare Ati Buddha (Adi-Buddha) statue in the Yab-Yum position. Ati Buddha, also known as the Primordial Buddha, is believed to be the actual Buddha and is symbolically portrayed as a naked Buddha in blue.
