This was constructed as the palace of Shahjahanabad, the capital city of the fifth Mughal emperor. The National Museum is one of the important museums in Delhi and was founded in 1949. The museum is specifically a great site for history and archaeology lovers. 7. Tughlaqabad Fort

Tughlaqabad Fort is a large construction, made of stone and was originally built for the Tughlaq dynasty in 1321. Located in the southern area of the current Delhi, the fort covers as much as 6. 5 km and is enclosed with high ramparts having massive walls made of large stone pieces. It used to be the epitome of the Tughlaq empire, but today it is an important icon of the military structures. The red sandstone fortification of the building is a fine example of Tughlaq architecture.

8. Agrasen Ki Baoli

Agrasen Ki Baoli has been there for a very long time but the beauty of the place came to light when renowned Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma came to shoot their movie PK. It is the oldest structure of the central region of Delhi and is, perhaps, one of the most scientifically restored Baolis in this area. Besides, it is relatively near to other places of significance in Delhi such as India Gate and Jantar Mantar.

9. National Zoological Park
