This was constructed as the palace of Shahjahanabad, the capital city of the fifth Mughal emperor. 2. India Gate

One of the popular attractions of Delhi, India Gate is a monumental sight which will leave one filled with sheer admiration. Built to pay tribute to 90,000 Indian soldiers who perished in World War I, it is referred to as India War Memorial. 3. National Museum

4. Lodi Gardens

Lodhi Gardens is located between Khan Market and Safdarjung Tomb. 6. Hauz Khas Village

8. Agrasen Ki Baoli

Agrasen Ki Baoli has been there for a very long time but the beauty of the place came to light when renowned Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma came to shoot their movie PK. It is the oldest structure of the central region of Delhi and is, perhaps, one of the most scientifically restored Baolis in this area. 9. National Zoological Park
