The museum is just 3 km away from Shillong Bus Stand, from where you can board a bus that will drop you off at the museum. The museum is open all year round, except for Thursdays and public holidays. Visitors can visit the museum between 9 am and 5 pm. There is a short one-hour break at 2 pm when the counter is closed. The museum then reopens at 3 pm.
