Situated in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir is Tawi Wildlife Sanctuary, in the Udhampur district. The sanctuary falls in the Tawi River basin and has a large variety of flora and fauna, hence earning the tag of being biodiversity-rich. By Air
The closest airport is Guwahati in Assam, about 200 km away. To reach the sanctuary, one can hire a taxi or take a bus from Guwahati.
By Train
The nearest central railway station is Rangapara, Assam, about 150 km from Tawi Wildlife Sanctuary. A taxi or bus can be hired from Rangapara for going forward.
By Road
You could drive in from Guwahati or other nearby cities. Though the route to the sanctuary is picture-perfect, it might comprise winding roads. Driving in from Guwahati takes about 5-6 hours.

Situated approximately 40 km from the sanctuary, Bumla Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass on the India-China border.
