1. Dilwara Temples

The Dilwara Temples are a range of rock temples from the 11th and 13th centuries AD showcasing tremendous works of art in marble. This group of Jain temples includes five main shrines: Vimal Vasahi, Luna Vasahi, Pittalhar, Mahavir Swami, and Khartar Vasahi. Vimal Vasahi houses the idol of Adinatha and the Luna Vasahi Temple is dedicated to Neminatha. This biggest temple in Mount Abu has become famous for carving designs and artwork, richly adorned pillars and ceilings. The marble utilised in construction was obtained from the local regions and was then skillfully sculpted.

2. Achalgarh Fort Temples

Some of the Mount Abu temples are inside the Achalgarh Fort which was constructed by the Maharaja Kumbha of Mewar in the 15th century. The fort is located at Achalgarh Hill and here you can witness breathtaking views of the Aravalli range. The temple of Arbuda Devi is perched atop a mountain about 2 kilometers north of Nakki Lake. A 365-step staircase cut out of the mountain leads to the Arbuda/Adhar Devi Temple. There is a small entry into the cave that leads to the temple itself, which is situated inside a rocky cleft. Along the entire route, there are restaurants and shopping centres. Inside, no luggage or cell phones are permitted and therefore, a token for availing of locker facilities will be given to you to keep your belongings.
