The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and historical evidence depicts that the temple was most likely constructed during the reign of the Shilahara dynasty and has since undergone several renovations. The temple houses a massive Shiva Lingam, which is 5 feet tall and 5 feet in diameter. 2. Ambreshwar Shiva Temple

The temple is known for its Hemadpanthi-style architecture, which dates back to the 11th century. It is believed that King Mahamandaleshwar constructed the temple, which showcases beautifully carved stonework depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Inside the inner sanctum of the temple lies the Shiva lingam, which the devotees come to worship. 3. Jain Temple

Also known as Adinath Swetamber Jain Temple, this is another temple in Thane that you must consider visiting. It is a popular religious centre for the Jain community. The temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara in Jainism. Featuring a blend of modern and traditional architectural designs, this is one of those temples that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Inside the temple, the idols of Lord Mahavira and other Tirthankaras are adorned with jewels and flowers.
