1. Summer Sonic

Summer Sonic, one of Japan’s most elusive music events, will be stopping in IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-3 in Thailand for two nights in 2024 as part of the music festivals in Thailand. It is the second time that the annual multi-genre music festival, typically held either in Tokyo or Osaka, has moved overseas. With the high reputation that this festival had way back years ago, several leading Thai and international DJs, singers, and bands have agreed to perform this coming August, including OneRepublic, LAUV, Yoasobi, Laufey, TravisJapan, and ZICO.

2. Techmission, Transmission & Hardmission Festival

Transmission, the biggest annual EDM festival in Thailand, Techmission, Transmission & Hardmission Festival. With a spectacular line-up, including a completely new techno feature, this is one of the best electronic music festivals in Thailand to be held at BITEC Bangkok. This time, a euro-inspired kind of party would sweep across Bangkok, promising a three-day rave with vivid variations of EDM subgenres in techno, hardstyle, and trance. With over 30+ of the best DJs and artists on the line-up, it is going to be an infusion of enthusiasm and skillfulness, which will lead the music festival to frontline recognition both locally and globally.

3. Waterzonic

Waterzonic is an EDM concert that gets a bit different from usual by soaking its audience in water. Who needs the Songkran music Festival in Thailand anyway? This frequent addition to the Bangkok festival calendar promises the appearance of a multitude of squirt guns and shattered phones galore. The event yearly rounds up an interesting lineup of electronic dance music artists. This year’s lineup includes future bass, dubstep, and progressive/electro-house bands. Breathe Carolina, Liu, R3hab, Said the Sky, Sikdope, Thomas Gold, and, last but not least by any means, the highly expected B2B Bass performance by Tchami and Malaa are on the schedule.

4. Diage Festival

Diage Festival—a pure visual extravaganza with digital art exhibits next to underground electronic music performances—is somewhat “left field” compared to some of the more prominent selections on this list. There will be three stages, over sixty performances by regional and international artists, and displays of digital art and lighting, with a few seminars on their way. It features a wide range of artists, including DJs, VJs, visual artists, and audio-visual performers, both in the workplace and on stage, making it one of the best Thailand music festivals to attend.

5. MAHO RASOP Festival

The finest multi-genre music event in Bangkok, MAHO RASOP Event is coming for a few days at ESC Park, Rangsit. This year’s music festival has an impressive lineup of over 20 international DJs and artists spanning a wide range of genres, from hip-hop to rock, alternative indie to electronic dance music. Apart from the live music, there will be a range of activities, such as an energetic food and beverage fair with a variety of delicious food options, lovely creative exhibits, peaceful areas, and engaging face-painting classes.

6. Rolling Loud

Rolling Loud is coming back to Pattaya at Legend Siam for three straight nights, promising the biggest hip-hop music festival in Asia. This time, partygoers will finally be able to submerge themselves in the energy of hip-hop tunes and dance routines that are as engaging, coming right from the overseas artists, cocooned within Thai culture in the nation’s top-ranked cultural theme park. Almost 80 well-known local and regional artists performed with well-known headliners including Cardi B, Travis Scott, and Chris Brown last year.

7. Wonderfruit Festival

The Wonderfruit Event is scheduled to return to The Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya in December. Wonderfruit Festival is an annual music event that highlights art, culture, and environment at the annual music festival. In addition to the dance parties and breathtaking performances, the festival will also feature an array of culinary options and a range of Thai cultural events that are sure to excite and involve attendees of the festival throughout the five days.

8. White Party

One of Thailand’s biggest homosexual New Year’s countdown parties, the White Party Bangkok, is scheduled for five days this year. Two pool parties at TRIBE Sky Beach (a club in EmSphere) and four-night parties at Paragon Hall in Siam Paragon are scheduled. Pulsating EDM tunes spun by well-known DJs and musicians will be part of the celebration, along with a program of theatrical shows and live acts especially chosen for the event.

9. Neon Countdown

The line-up for NEON Countdown Music Festival, which will take place at Wonder World Extreme Park in Bangkok from December has been revealed. Asian food, interactive art pieces, fireworks displays, and performances by well-known DJs are all planned for the event. Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso of the Swedish House Mafia, Charlotte De Witte, Hardwell, DJ Snake, Artbat, Blasterjaxx, Yellowclaw, Andrew Rayel, and others are notable musicians.

10. EDC

EDC is one of the biggest annual music festivals in North America. And it is coming to Phuket, Thailand in the month of January. The event will take place in Thailand’s Boat Avenue Lakefront, and over 300,000 ravers are set to arrive. The festival will include three iconic Las Vegas stages: StereoBLOOM, CircuitGROUNDS, and kineticFIELD. Every one of them is made to offer a unique visual and auditory experience. It promises to offer an exciting time filled with thrilling rides, surreal entertainment, and breathtaking fireworks that light up the night sky.

11. Unkonscious

Touted as ‘Asia’s biggest trance festival on the beach’, Unkonscious will include many events over six days, split across venues in Pattaya and Bangkok, positioning it as trance’s biggest week. The two-day main event at the popular Alexa Beach Club with two stages with well-known trance performers like Sneijder, Richard Durand, John 00 Fleming, Craig Connelly, and more. After the festival, return to Bangkok to attend a boxing match at the New Lumpini Boxing Stadium under the Unkonscious brand, where fighters compete to the beat of trance music, followed by an afterparty at Eden Club.
