The temple is a central place of worship for the local Christian community and holds significant religious importance. Each of the 4 pillars carries 7 of David’s stars that indicate the 7 angels. It is managed by the Kohhran Thianghlim (Holy Church) in Mizoram. It takes inspiration from the original temple of Solomon in Jerusalem and is thus deeply revered by Christians and has become the most visited temple here.

Reiek Heritage Village, a hill station about 30 km from Aizawl, was awarded the Best Tourism Village in 2023 by the Government of India. Tourists can experience the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Mizo people, and it also makes for a scenic spot that is perfect for nature walks and cultural tours. But the most iconic experience one can have here is the view of the Milky Way galaxy as one gazes upon the sky while resting among the cosy, small huts of bamboo and hay, spending a heavenly night beneath the stars.
4. Visit The Mizoram State Museum

Located in the heart of the city, the Mizoram State Museum exhibits artefacts related to Mizo culture, history, and traditions. The main market in Aizawl, Bara Bazaar is a great place to shop for local handicrafts, clothes, and produce. It is a colourful flea market where people from neighbouring villages flock to buy local handicrafts, traditional clothing, bamboo products, and fresh produce. It is an economical bazaar, with clothes and accessories starting from as low as ₹100. Located centrally in Aizawl, it is accessible easily by local transportation. 6. Enjoy The Sunset At Hmuifang

Vantawng Falls is located on the Vanva River near Thenzawl, a small but beautiful village. The grave is tied to a poignant local legend of Phulpui, a Mizo woman, and her lover, Lianchhunga. Grief-stricken by his death, Phulpui went to Lianchhunga’s grave and asked a woman to assist her in killing her so she may be buried with her lover. Their tragic love story is an integral part of Mizo folklore.
