Dwarka, Delhi, is located on the southwestern edge of the Indian capital, which is New Delhi. It is named after the Shri Krishna’s kingdom of Dwarka. 1. Visit The Iskcon Temple

The Iskcon Temple is a beautiful place to visit and is close to the metro station near Radisson Blu. This is a small temple that is peaceful and has many devotees during the day. This temple also has a distinctive culture and a Vedic education centre where devotees learn about Krishna consciousness. The idols of Lord Krishna and Radha are beautifully decorated and adored in the temple. Many religious ceremonies, like aarti and jaap meditation, are held throughout the day. A special Shri Bhagwatam class is held at 8 AM every day.

2. The City of Women’s Wall Mural

The City of Women mural is a campaign held by the City of Women in Delhi to recognise the deep connection between mobility and women’s progress. This initiative is inspired by Rebecca Solnit’s City of Women Project. It is a physical and digital campaign to encourage, celebrate and extend women’s freedom to go anywhere, anytime. The powerful mural of women’s empowerment has been designed and conceptualized by an all-women team and 12 talented muralists from the country. It shows the backgrounds and different ages of women claiming public places in the city.

3. Dwarka Baoli

Dwarka Baoli is a historical stepwell that was recently discovered in the Dwarka Sub-City. This stepwell was constructed by the people of Loharehri by the Sultans of the Lodi Dynasty. It was conducted in the early 16th century, where the village once stood. It is located on a barren stretch of land that is hidden by large peepal trees. The architecture of this well was in the form of the step wells built in the temples in ancient India.

4. Trek with Himalayan Weekenders

The Himalayan Weekenders is a community that works for trekking and adventure sports enthusiasts. It helps provide a sustainable and affordable travel platform for youth. This community started in 2016 and has been expanded. Within two years, it had the opportunity to introduce this to thousands of young people and has been a platform for all adventure seekers. There are many adventure sports conducted by them like paragliding in Nepal, Solang Valley, Bir Billing, river rafting in Rishikesh and Kullu and skiing at Auli. They also plan treks to various places like Leh-Ladakh, Dalhousie Khajjiar, Spiti Valley, Parvati Valley and many more.

5. Malai Temple

The Uttara Swami Malai Temple, also known as Malai Temple, is a Hindu temple located in Delhi that is dedicated to Lord Swaminathan, who is also known as Lord Murugan. It is a religious temple mostly famous for the Hindus of Tamil and other South Indian communities. It is located on a small hill lock. It is a tradition to build those temples on the hills. There are also other temple complexes dedicated to Sree Karpaga Vinayaga, who is the elder brother of Lord Swaminathan. It is built in the Tamil architecture of the Pandya style.

6. Joygaon Picnic Park

Joygaon Picnic Park is an excellent place located on the Jhajjar-Bahadurgarh road. This park offers nearly 90 amazing activities like pottery making, magic shows, Kathputli dance from Rajasthan, ziplining, sky cycling, camel ride, swimming pool, DJ, 7D theatre and delicious village-style food. It also conducts evening parties with live music performances, bonfires and other entertaining activities. It also holds events like school trips, corporate events, birthday parties and evening parties. It provides the guests with an experience by incorporating farm and village tourism.

7. Visiting Hast Minar

Hast Minar, which is also known as the Mini Qutub Minar, is a minaret tower in Hastsal village. It was built in 1650 by Shah Jahan. It is a three-storey tower on an octagonal platform built with bricks and sandstone. It resembles the structure of Qutub Minar. It is believed by the locals that there is a tunnel from this tower to the royal hunting lodge of Shah Jahan, which is a few hundred meters apart. It has a narrow staircase that leads to the top. Each story is surrounded by overhanging eaves. The minar is built with Lakhori bricks.

8. Yogmaya Temple

Yogmaya temple that is also known as Jogmaya temple is a Hindu temple that is dedicated to the goddess Yogmaya who is considered to be the sister of Lord Krishna who took an avatar as Vindhyavasini. It is believed that 27 temples were destroyed by the Mamluks but this is the only temple that survived. Yogmaya is considered to be the illusion or maya of the power of God. Many devotees visit this temple, especially during the Navaratri celebrations. This temple was rebuilt in 1837 with an entrance hall and sanctum.

9. Tomb of Adham Khan

The tomb of Adham Khan was constructed in the 16th century by a general of the Tamurid Gurkhani king Akbar. This tomb was built in 1562 and is located southwest of the Qutub Minar. This tomb lies on the walls of Lal Kot, enclosed by octagonal walls and low tower corners. The damaged octagonal chamber is in the Lodhi dynasty and Sayyid dynasty styles. It has a verandah, which is pierced with three open sides. This place is famously known as Bul-Bhulaiyan because visitors usually lose their passage between the thickness of the walls.

10. National Rail Museum

The National Rail Museum in Delhi is a beautiful place to visit to learn about the history and legacy of Indian railways. It showcases the evolution of railways for nearly 160 years. It shows local passenger trains to Maharaja and Raja privately owned railways. The entire area covered by the museum is 11 acres, with a huge collection of trains and a beautiful outdoor garden. This place also has a train restaurant with various compartments named based on the Indian Railways.
