Thommankuthu Waterfalls, a popular seven-step waterfall of Kerala, nestled deep into the dense Idukki district forests. Gushing over a distance of 12 km as River Kannadiyaar, this waterfall brings with it several smaller tumbling and gushing waterfalls. Every smaller fall has a pool where one can swim. About Thommankuthu Waterfalls

Located inside the Kaliyar Forest, this fall is also known as Thodupuzha Waterfalls. Considered to be one of the best waterfalls in Kerala, it derives its name from a local legend that recounts the drowning of a tribal leader named Thomman. Later the place became famous as Thommankuthu. Maintained by the Kerala Forest Department, the Thommankuthu Waterfalls location has all the basic facilities. Additionally, there is an interpretation centre that gives all the information regarding the forest.

Located in Thodupuzha, the attraction is just 60 km away from the popular Kerala town of Munnar. One can spot several rare species of animals and plants near the falls making it a picturesque location. Located adjacent to the highway, the place has 2 acres of evergreen forests on a huge rock. This rock is around 500 acres in area and is an ideal spot for mountaineering.

This eco-friendly farm is in Adimali, Kerala. With a boating park, this is a family-friendly destination that also lets you witness some lush plantation crops and spices. One can buy locally grown spices like cardamom, ginger, garlic, cloves, star anise and other mixed spices from their spice outlet. Other activities that one can indulge in are water zorbing, bamboo rafting, pedal boating and fun fishing.

The place offers some spectacular views of the surrounding greenery including the Bhoothathankettu Dam, the Periyar region and several parts of the Thrissur and Ernakulam districts.
