It is expected that the terminal complex will increase from 38,919 to 56,919 square meters with an extra 18,000 square meters. The Osh Airport began functioning in 1974, and its international sector started operating in 1992. As per the news reports, the airport\u2019s new terminal has been under construction since February 14, 2025. The city of Jalal-Abad is the owner of this airport and the operator is the Manas International Airport, JSC. One of the famous airports in Kyrgyzstan is located in Jalal-Abad and serves the same region. Situated at a height of 2,591 feet above sea level, this airport is not to be confused with the Jalalabad Airport in Afghanistan. Its first operation dates back to the year 1938 as a landing strip in the outskirts of the then small provincial town. It became an aerodrome after 1947 and started its operation in full swing after World War II.<\/p>\n

Kazarman is a village in the Toguz-Toro district of the Jalal-Abad region in Kyrgyzstan. The Russian IATA code for this airport is K3M and is located on the northeast outskirts of the settlement of Kazarman. The airport is at a distance of 240 kilometres from the city of Naryn in Kyrgyzstan. It started operating in the 1940s as a landing strip on the outer areas of the gold mining village.<\/p>\n

The Kerben Airport was known as the Karavan Airport till 1992. Its services began in the 1950s as a landing strip in the then-Karavan. The latest terminal and runway were constructed in 1982 and is known as a regional class 3C airport. This is one of the domestic airports in Kyrgyzstan and is near the border of Uzbekistan but still does not have any customs or border checks and serves flights within Kyrgyzstan.<\/p>\n

The airport operates during the daylight hours and has no terminal or instrument landing facilities. The airport had flights to Jalal-Abad, Osh, and Talas till the 1990s.<\/p>\n

The present runway was built in the 1970s but has no terminal and instrument landing facilities. It operates only during daylight. The airport of Batken was given international status in the year 2014. A few flights are travelling to the destinations of Osh, Jalal-Abad or the nearby Isfana. The present runway and terminal were built in the 1970s and is known as a regional class 3C airport. The runway has a weight limit of 22 tonnes but has no facilities for instrument landing and operates during the daytime.
