Korukonda Temple is an old and historically significant temple, also known as a Vyshnava Divya Kshetra. The daily rituals are performed according to the Vyshnava-Vyghanasa Agama Sastra. There are two shrines of the temple: Swayambuvu and Prathista. The Swayambhuvu is located at a height of roughly 120 metres and has approximately 615 steep stairs; as a consequence of the steep development of the hill, because of this the village is known as Korukonda. The god, a Swayambhuvu, appears at an altar at the top of the hill, measuring roughly 9 inches.<\/em><\/p>\n
