There are around 91 railway models on display, including steam engines, wagons, vintage cranes, and the famous John Morris Fire Engine. This tower, near the Kamla Nehru Ridge, was originally erected as a tower meant for the purpose of signals and communication. During the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857, a lot of families from Europe took shelter here. The British Army of the colonial period is credited with the building of this tower since they used it as a military cantonment. The tower is now protected under the authority of the Archaeological Survey of India. It can hold a hundred people at once. There is also a cemetery where the British who fell during the siege of 1857 are buried. <\/p>\n

As the name suggests, this monument is one of the oldest forts in the country and one of the most prominent ones in Delhi. The fort was built under the supervision of Mughal Emperor Humayun and Sultan Sher Shah Suri. The fort served as the interior citadel of Dinpanah, an important city. The walls of the fort are about 18 metres high. There are 3 intricately arched gates at the fort, namely, the Bara Darwaza, the Humayun Gate and the Talaqi Gate which are made of sandstone.
